Can Becoming a Responsible Teen (BART) be led with Asian-American youth (or other communities of youth)?

Yes, this is a green-light adaptation.

However, it is important to note that Becoming a Responsible Teen (BART) is based on establishing a sense of ethnic pride and shared identity. It can work for any specific ethnic/racial group, but meticulous attention to detail is needed to make appropriate adaptations throughout the curriculum.

Use the Adaptation Guidelines to assist you in tailoring the intervention for the youth in your program. These can be found on the Adaptation Guidelines & Tools tab on the BART page on the website.

Be sure to check FOA guidelines as to whether prior approval is required for any adaptations you are considering.
