Learn how teachers can use the PowerPoint Presentations with Google Slides
All of the PowerPoint Presentations (PPP) found under the digital Teacher Resources are compatible with Google Slides. This article provides a walk-through on how teachers can use the presentations with Google Slides by saving the PPP files to Google Drive and/or Google Classroom.
What You Need To Get Started
- A school/district digital subscription to HealthSmart.
- Or
- A copy of the HealthSmart print edition with a registered account to access the digital Teacher Resources. Register for access here.
1. Start by going to a Lesson page, then select Teacher Resources.
2. Next, find the presentation with "PPSX" in the title. Click the View English link to download the English version of the presentation, or click the View Spanish link to download the Spanish version of the presentation. This guide uses the English version as an example.
3. After clicking the link, the presentation file can be found in the downloads folder on your device.
4. Next, go to your course in Google Classroom and click the folder icon (if you are not using Google Classroom, you can go directly to Google Drive).
5. In the upper left, click the +New button, then select File upload from the list.
6. Select the presentation file from your downloads folder. Google will upload the file and share a status in the bottom right corner of the screen.
7. When the file is finished uploading, the presentation will appear in your list of documents.
8. Clicking it will open a preview of the presentation. Select the Open with Google Slides prompt at the top of the screen.
