What are core components?

Core components are program characteristics that must be kept intact when an evidence-based program is replicated or adapted in order for it to produce program outcomes similar to those demonstrated in the original evaluation research.

Core components are organized into three categories: content, pedagogy, and implementation. See the adaptation guidelines for the evidence-based programs (EBPs) you’re interested in on ETR's Program Success Center for more information.  These can be found under Programs on the Adaptation Guidelines & Tools tab on the pages that describe each EBP.
